I have left Norway and I am currently in England. I packed most of my stuff and left this lovely country of mine. Why? Because a new life is just about to begin. I have been accepted by The Unversity of Sheffield. This means I will be attending a journalism course from September on. Exciting in many ways, but also different. I should therefore start training on my English skills, seen as journalism is a lot about language and the ability to express yourself. My mother tounge is Norwegian, not English, but I'd like to think my English is good enough for this challenge.

A horrible day came upon us. 22.07.11 is a day I think most Norwegians will remember forever. I was reading the news yesterday. It said a big explosion had happened in Oslo. No more information. I didn't think more about it before my boyfriend went int to BBCs website. A bomb had gone off by the prime ministers office. People started speculating. Who had done this? Al-Quaida? Or just someone crazy? Not long after this incident, messages came about a new incident at the labour party youth camp. A guy wearing police clothes had started shooting around. The first news said five people had been shot. Little did I know that the numbers would grow.

Now the police have comfirmed that seven people died in the explosion in Oslo. 84, EIGHTY-FOUR, people was killed at the labour party youth camp. Several people were injured. I wasn't there, but the island where it happened is only a 40 minutes drive away. This has affected everyone in Norway, and people in other countries as well. I can't believe how the people who were there feel, but all I can do is say how sorry I am and how I wish it never happened. Rest in peace, may the killer get the punishment he deserves.
